Introduction

The Sky Bringup, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DocSift AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

We are committed to collecting only the minimum information necessary to provide our service.

  • Device and Account Identifiers: The App may use a device-specific identifier and, where applicable, an account identifier to provide the service, maintain access, restore purchases, and protect against misuse.
  • Product Interactions and Diagnostics: Our AnalyticsService may send events through the Skybringup Gateway about App use, screens viewed, purchase-flow actions, and errors. These events may include device, account, and session identifiers and limited diagnostic details.
  • Purchase Records: Apple processes payment information. We may receive and retain product, transaction, entitlement, and purchase-status information needed to verify or restore Premium access, but we do not receive your full payment-card details.
  • AI Analysis Content: If you explicitly tap Analyze with AI, the App sends recognized text and the context needed for the requested analysis through the Skybringup Gateway to a third-party AI model.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera: Used to capture document pages. Google ML Kit performs OCR on your device. Scanned page images stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them, and they are not sent when you use Analyze with AI.
  • Photo Library: Used to select existing document images. Google ML Kit processes selected images on your device for OCR. The images are not sent when you use Analyze with AI.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's core functionality
  • To provide optional AI summaries, key fields, and action items from recognized text you explicitly choose to analyze
  • To verify purchases, restore Premium access, and maintain account or device-based service access
  • To protect the service, investigate errors or misuse, and meet legal obligations
  • To understand product interactions, diagnose problems, and improve the App

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use this information for advertising tracking.

Service Providers

We use the following services to operate DocSift AI:

  • Google ML Kit: Performs text recognition on your device. Scanned page images are not uploaded to us for OCR.
  • Skybringup Gateway and third-party AI model providers: Process the recognized text and necessary context only after you choose Analyze with AI. Scanned page images are not included in that request.
  • Skybringup AnalyticsService: Sends product-interaction and diagnostic events through our Gateway so we can operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
  • Apple App Store: Processes purchases and manages refund requests.

Data Retention

Document images and locally saved scan records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. They leave the device only when you explicitly export or share them through another service. When you request AI analysis, recognized text and necessary context may be retained by us or our service providers for as long as reasonably needed to provide the result, maintain security, investigate problems, comply with law, and enforce our terms. Device and account identifiers, purchase records, product-interaction events, and diagnostics may also be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention periods can vary by record type and legal requirement.

Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we process.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify the request, and some records may be retained where required for purchases, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
