How do I scan a document?

Tap the scan button and point your camera at any document. DocScan Pro auto-detects the edges, de-skews the page, and extracts text. Scan multiple pages in one batch by tapping the camera again.

Can DocScan Pro extract text from a scanned document?

Yes. Apple's on-device Vision framework runs OCR locally on your device — no image leaves your phone for text recognition. The recognized text is searchable and copy-able.

Does the AI see my documents?

Only when you opt into the AI summary or key-field extraction. Raw OCR text (not the image) is sent for analysis and discarded after the response. Images never leave your device for OCR itself.

What formats can I export to?

Premium users export to PDF, PNG, and plain text. Free users can view and copy text from up to three pages per scan.

Is there a watermark on exported PDFs?

No. Premium exports are watermark-free. Free-tier users see a small footer line on exports — upgrading removes it entirely.

Is there a daily usage limit?

Yes, AI summary and key-field extraction have a daily limit of 50 calls per device to ensure service quality. The limit resets every 24 hours.

How do I cancel or refund a subscription?

Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
